Cheam Lake Wetlands Chilliwack BC - Cheam Lake Wetlands became a park in 1990 and is popular for hikes, picnics, and bird watching. The park's trail system is approximately 2 km long, ideal for all ages, and features raised walkways and an elevated viewing platform. The park is comprised of lake, marsh, and forest and is home to many insect, mammal, and bird species. |

Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Chilliwack BC - The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is a 130-hectare (325 acre) site located on the undyked floodplain of the Vedder River. Managed by the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Society, the site is home to over 100 Great Blue Heron nests and a wide variety of wildlife and vegetation including the following species: Painted Turtle, Bald Eagle, & Salish Sucker. |
