Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Chilliwack BC - The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is a 130-hectare (325 acre) site located on the undyked floodplain of the Vedder River. Managed by the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Society, the site is home to over 100 Great Blue Heron nests and a wide variety of wildlife and vegetation including the following species: Painted Turtle, Bald Eagle, & Salish Sucker. |

Giant Douglas Fir Cultus Lake BC - This 800 year old tree is the oldest and largest in the park. Just think...it was a sapling when Genghis Khan roamed the earth! Directions: Highway 1, Exit 104 (Yarrow-Cultus) following the signs to Cultus OR Exit 119A (Sardis-Vedder), south on Vedder Rd. to the Vedder Bridge.
