Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve

The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is a 130-hectare (325 acre) site located on the undyked floodplain of the Vedder River. Managed by the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Society, the site is home to over 100 Great Blue Heron nests and a wide variety of wildlife and vegetation including the following species: Painted Turtle, Bald Eagle, & Salish Sucker.

Slesse Memorial Trail

In December of 1956 a TCA flight from Vancouver to Calgary crashed into Mt.Slesse killing all 62 aboard. In 1995 a plaque was erected to honour those who lost their lives, and the area was declared a Commemorative Site. The route is mainly out in the open when you're following the old road and takes you not only to the plaque but to a breathtaking vista of Mt.Slesse and its neighbours.

Lindeman / Greendrop Lakes

The crown jewel of Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park, Lindeman is #1 with kids and adults alike!  Greendrop is almost as precious but not quite as pretty.

Directions:  Head 40km down the Chilliwack Lake Road (from Bridge at Vedder River Crossing), watch for a signpost on the right and a yellow gate on the left.  Park roadside and walk 200m to the trail on the right, following the creek.
