Yale Road Historic Corridor

Chilliwack BC -

Yale Road stretches from one side of Chilliwack to the other, running roughly parallel to the Trans Canada Highway. Parts of the road pre-date the 1858 gold rush.

A drive along the corridor will take you beside the ancient Sto:lo village and fish processing sites, beside some of the oldest farms in the area and into the heart of the City at Five Corners. The route also includes the communities of Greendale, Cheam and Rosedale which sprang up during the 19th Century.

St. Thomas Anglican Church

Chilliwack BC -

A unique and historical church located downtown near Young Road & 1st Avenue. Preschool to Older Teens Program, September to June. Services at 8 am (BCP) and 10:15 am (BAS) every Sunday

First Baptist Church

Chilliwack BC -

The ground level of this church has been altered but the upper parts remain similar to the originally constructed building, which was erected in 1896.

Rosedale United Church

Chilliwack BC -

This is the historic centre of Rosedale. The first school house, built in 1890, was located where the post office is today. The small United Church building on the right was erected in 1908 for only $125. The original steeple bell, donated by A.C. Henderson, remains in use today.

Methodist Church

Chilliwack BC -

The oldest remaining structure in the downtown area was built in 1882 on land donated by Isaac Kipp, one of Chilliwack's pioneers, and has survived over a century in mostly original condition.
