
Ford Mountain
Fabulous forest trail leads to a show-stopping 360 degree panoramic view. Break out the binoc's and play 'Mr.Ranger, Sir' from the site of an old Forest Service fire lookout.
Directions: Highway 1, Exit 119A (Sardis-Vedder) travel south 5.4km on Vedder Rd. to the Vedder Bridge. Do not cross. Turn left on Chilliwack Lake Rd. and set your odometer to "0". At 28.4km watch for Ford Mountain Forest Service Road and trail signpost on the left. 4x4's can travel the 4.3km of rough, steep road. 2wd can make it about 2km. At around 4km follow the old raod on your left to the trailhead. The trail makes the road forgettable. Orange squares mark the route.
Note: The trail continues 5km along the ridge (beyond the viewpoint) to join Williams Ridge trail).
