Arts and culture are important parts of what makes any community special – and Chilliwack is a very special place indeed!

Tourism Chilliwack is a proud supporter of the arts community and we are happy to be able to showcase some fabulous local artisans in this brochure. We invite you to explore arts and culture in ‘The Great Outside’, and to enjoy your visit to our community.

Top Tip: Make the most of your visit by checking this guide to see if the artisan's work you want to see is 'by appointment'.

Printed brochures can be picked up at numerous locations in the community including the Tourism Chilliwack Visitor Centre on Luckakuck Way.

Chilliwack Circle Farm Tour Chilliwack Circle Farm Tour

Learn about bees, shop for honey products, fill up on artisan bread and cheese, pick apples, visit a potter’s studio, and see spectacular show gardens! In late Summer, early fall, the corn is a-maze-ing! A Circle Farm Tour is basically a road map that directs you to a variety of specialty farm-gate vendors, open air markets, charming eateries, heritage sites, fairs, and other special events. There’s a brochure and map for each participating community.

The tours are self-guided, meaning that you travel in your own car, at your own pace, when it suits you. Each community brochure/map directs you to about twelve venues. All are related in some way to agriculture and the area’s farming heritage.

Depending on where you live, what your interests are, and how much time you have, you build your own itinerary for a day trip or full vacation. For each community, there’s a list of special events, and accommodation options along the route.

Yale Road Historic Corridor Yale Road Historic Corridor

Yale Road stretches from one side of Chilliwack to the other, running roughly parallel to the Trans Canada Highway. Parts of the road pre-date the 1858 gold rush.

A drive along the corridor will take you beside the ancient Sto:lo village and fish processing sites, beside some of the oldest farms in the area and into the heart of the City at Five Corners. The route also includes the communities of Greendale, Cheam and Rosedale which sprang up during the 19th Century.

You can start your drive along the corridor at Rosedale or Greendale but be sure to time your trip to arrive in downtown Chilliwack for a bite to eat at one of Chilliwack's many fine restaurants.
